This Sleepover Sucks! is a horror-comedy about Grace, whose first sleepover with her best friend takes a terrifying turn when she discovers her friend's mother is a vampire determined to make Grace part of the family forever. As cinematographer, I wanted the visuals to feel both whimsical and unsettling, allowing the audience to enjoy the absurdity while still leaning into the horror. We photographed the film on the ARRI Alexa Mini LF with Iron Glass rehoused vintage Soviet lenses, whose soft contrast and distinctive character complemented the film's nostalgic, storybook aesthetic.
